Our Occupational Therapists will discuss your current concerns about the difficulties your child is having and will ask you about any relevant medical history and about your child’s development (eg, at what age your child walked and talked). Your child’s skills will be assessed through observation and formal testing. Our Occupational Therapists will discuss the assessment results with you and if required, make a therapy plan with you.

This therapy plan may include:

  • Ideas and activities to do at home

  • Clinic appointments

  • Group therapy Programs

Lego Club

LEGO® Club:

LEGO® Based Therapy (Le Geoff et.al.) is a social intervention program for children with autism spectrum disorders. LEGO® based intervention helps engage young people with ASD in a social activity by adding structure, clear rules.

Each child has a specific role, and they work together as a team to build a model while practicing key social skills, such as sharing, turning taking, listening, joint attention, and problem solving. Lego club creates a space where children can explore their creativity and interests, while being supported to develop socially.

In LEGO Club we focus on developing collaboration, task participation, verbal and non-verbal communication, conflict resolution, fine motor skills, visual motor skills and self-regulation.

We run three groups across the weeks to carter for a variety of age groups including: Kindergarten kids, primary school kids and high school kids.
